DUI The Gender Gap – DUI Stats
There are approximately 200,000 DUI arrests in California each year. Approximately 20% of those arrests were women. That means that about 40,000 women in California are arrested each year after making the decision to drive while drunk. This percentage is somewhat alarming, because in 1997 only about 13% were women.
